I have been handed the reins of our blog, so I am now in full control… :S
Now you will be able to hear our adventures and stories from the Great Barrier Reef and our vessel Bounty Hunter.
A HUGE thanks to Kelly from Black Marlin Fishing Blog and her amazing work she has done in creating this site & Blog for us.
Now we just need the winds to ease and the seas to calm so we can get out there and find the fish..
Winter is here and with it comes so great black marlin fishing off Cairns. In addition to the big black marlin, Cairns is also home to juvenile black marlin during the cooler months of June to September.
This is a photo of a juvenile black marlin from a recent trip in June 2013 on board Bounty Hunter with our light tackle skipper, Capt. Darren “Biggles” Haydon. In addition to the marlin, there were plenty of other pelagic species to go around including some nice spanish mackerel for the dinner table.
There are still dates available between now and September. If you’d like to go baby black marlin fishing, or fish for a feed and then some, contact us now!
